Cherry Mobile Omega Aeon Is Now Officially Launched

Dubbed "the  most anticipated smartphone from the Omega series" Cherry Mobile Omega Aeon has been finally launched and can now be purchased for only Php5,999.  It is a Quad-core device featuring a 5" HD IPS OGS Display. OGS stands for One Glass Solution, this is a feature that we rarely hear from many smartphones.  This is just one of those touchscreen technologies that have been around and what this does is to reduce the thickness of the glass being used on a device's front panel, this means that by using the Omega Aeon you will see that the display is closer to the touchpanel of the device.

Plus it has an HD IPS display so this smartphone does not have just the clear and bright display but also a very nice viewing angle. Under the hood are 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and 4GB on-board storage which is expandable via microSD card to up to 64GB. And for camera lovers out there, this Omega Aeon has 13MP rear camera with autofocus and flash technology while the front one is pegged at 5MP. Like most locally-branded smartphones right now this Android 4.3 Jellybean device is also dual-sim and dual-standby capable. The battery size is 1,800mAh and that is according to its Cherry Mobile page here but most tech bloggers are saying it is only for 1,700mAh. It is not so much of a difference and I think this is the only downer I see on this device, the battery. The Cherry Mobile Omega Aeon is only for Php5,999.
