Microsoft Aims To Replace Your Laptop With The Surface Pro 3

Microsoft wants you to replace your laptop with its new Surface Pro 3 which was just recently announced today in New York. That goal and statement is a pretty nice move since many people of today always find themselves deciding if they would buy a tablet or a laptop, so making these two type of gadgets in one casing would be a great one to have, right? The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablet is thinner, lighter and faster but bigger and more powerful than ever before.

Unlike the previous two Surface tablets, the Surface Pro 3 features 12-inch display with 3:2 aspect ratio and a pixel resolution of 2160x1440 this is certainly the biggest and the brightest one.Without the Type Cover keyboard, the device only weights 1.76 pounds and as thin as 9.1mm. Surface Pro 2 still comes with a kickstand just like its predecessors but this time aside from the standard 22-degree angle, user can adjust it depending on the need all the way up to 150 degrees.

Surface Pro 3 vs Surface Pro 2
Inside this new Microsoft tablet is pretty busy as the Windows 8.1 slate features different Intel Core processors depending on the version or variant. Windows also claimed that the Surface Pro 3 is the "the thinnest Intel Core product ever made," it sports Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors and has different storage options and 4GB and 8GB of RAM. See the pricing below.

Intel Core i3,   64 GB storage and 4 GB of RAM—$799
Intel Core i5, 128 GB storage and 4 GB of RAM—$999
Intel Core i5, 256 GB storage and 8 GB of RAM—$1,299
Intel Core i7, 256 GB storage and 8 GB of RAM—$1,549
Intel Core i7, 512 GB storage and 8 GB of RAM—$1,949

It comes with a stylus pen which is can communicate with the device with only use of a button users can fire up the OneNote immediately thus reducing the time to manually pull it up on the tablet, this is very helpful to those who are note takers. And also to enhance its "lapability" Microsoft added a magnetic trap onto its separately-sold Type Cover keyboard which attaches it to the lower bezel of the slate which forms an angle to make typing experience much better when using the Surface Pro 3 on lap.
