Samsung and Barnes & Noble Announce Galaxy Tab 4 Nook Tablet


Samsung and Barnes & Noble teamed up together to release the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook tablet which will primarily focus on ebook-reading community. The device will sport the same specs found in the current Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 such as the 7-inch display with 1280x800 pixel resolution, A quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and 1.5GB of RAM with microSD card support for memory expansion.

The pricing was not revealed though but many expect that the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook will be sold for around $200, the same price range as the Galaxy Tab 4. Its default built-in storage was not unveiled as well, but its counterpart offers 8Gb and 16GB options right out of the box. The new samsung slate runs Android 4.4 Kitkat and on top of it is the Barnes & Noble customized Nook UI instead of Samsung's which is "designed for ready, with easy access to Barnes & Noble's expansive digital collection of more than three million books, leading magazines, and newspapers." The Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 Nook will be available in the US starting early August.
