Cherry Mobile Magnum S Unveiled with Octa-core Processor, Android Kitkat and 5" HD IPS Display, For Php9,999

In the past couple of days Cherry Mobile has been teasing us with another smartphone offering that promises to delight many Android lovers in the country, until today the local tech company has finally decided to completely take the wraps off this new baby they are having. And so the cherry Mobile Magnun S was unveiled.

The Magnum S features pretty impressive specs for its price tag of Php9,999. It sports a 5-inch IPS screen with HD display or a resolution of 1280x720 pixel arrangement, plus it is covered by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. An Octa-core MediaTek processor sits underneath the back cover clocked at 1.7GHz. Paired with these eight cores of processor is a 1GB of RAM which is now becoming a standard on most of the local-branded smartphones to at least get the consumers' attention.

It is not really disclosed yet but the 16GB internal storage seems to be expandable via microSD card. For video and picture taking purposes, the cameras on the Magnum S are very generous with the 18MP rear camera that sports a BSI technology and LED flash. BSI cameras perform very well in low-light environment. And then the front-facing snapper has 8MP and and LED flash and that should be more than enough for quality selfies. And yes it is an Android 4.4 Kitkat right out of the box.
