LG G3 Cat 6 Now Official With Snapdragon 805 On Board Supports Up To 225mbps Download Speed

First it was Samsung Galaxy S5 LTE-A that was announced and released in South Korea alone. Now it is LG's turn as they just unveiled the LG G3 Cat 6 smartphone equipped with Snapdragon 805 chip inside it. So this is now becoming the new trend especially for South Korean smartphones where the company would release a higher end versions of their international flagship devices and then release it exclusively in their country. But that is understandable (I think), why and what's so special about these smartphones?

First these devices such as the LG G3 Cat 6 is powered by this newest Qualcomm processor the Snapdragon 805 SoC which is capable of up to 225mbps download speed under the LTE Advanced (LTE-A) technology. Second is this LTE-A connectivity is not as widespread as the LTE we know, South Korea is one of the few countries to support this technology.

The LG G3 Cat 6 sports the same specs found in the current LG G3 aside from the two major updates. The Snapdragon 805 quad-core chip clocked at 2.7GHz and the updated Cat 6 Modem inside the device. This also comes with 3GB of RAM.

So most likely the LG G3 Cat 6 will only be available in South Korea but a definte release date has to be announced yet but there are some blogs that say it will be available starting July 25. Even though many countries such as the Philippines do not have this LTE-A yet, I believe it is still great to have this new kind of smartphone sitting in our pocket. And I am pretty sure many would like to see this device released outside of Korea.
