Minuum Keyboard App is Coming to All Android Wear Devices

We all know that Android Wear OS for all wearables does not come with its own on-screen keyboard as this new platform only uses voice commands to operate. And sometimes in some places this kind of voice-only navigation feature is not applicable, for example when we are replying to a text message and we just want it to type it in without pulling our smartphone out from our pocket or bag. That's where the Minuum comes in.

Last month we had a quick look at how Minuum keyboard app would work on a round smartwatch such as the Moto 360 and it was pretty impressive to see it in action. Good thing is that the company behind it is releasing this keyboard app for all Android Wear devices and currently we have three smart wearables running this new mobile OS from Google, those are Moto 360, LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live. It should also work with future smartwatches and other devices to run Android Wear.

"We’ve had oodles of requests for Minuum on Android Wear smart watches – everyone’s looking for a way to quickly reply to messages on their wrist without having to rely on voice typing. While there aren’t yet many apps on Android Wear built with text fields available for typing, we’re working on changing this – sign up at minuum.com/watch to stay updated.
Minuum also said that when you sign up for updates through that link above, they will “send you installation instructions straight away so that you can try out an early version.”
