Huawei Ascend G7 Now Official

Huawei did not only unveil the Ascend Mate 7 smartphone at the IFA Event in Berlin last week, there is also another one that was revealed at the annual tech event and that is the Ascend G7 smartphone. Just like the Mate 7, the G7 is also encased in an all-metal shell which makes more premium and look and feel but that's not it, this new Huawei device packs good specs as well even though it is categorized as a mid-range Android smartphone.

Huawei Ascend G7 sports a massive 5.5-inch IPS display packed with 1280x720 pixel arrangement and an equivalent of 267ppi. Nowadays I expect a Full HD display for sizes like this but Huawei opted for a 720p one so I wonder how this thing is going to look like in person with this resolution and screen this big. On the inside there are the 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage and it supports microSD card up to 64GB.

Huawei said that the back camera which is at 13MP features a Sony BSI sensor and with that it should also perform better even when taking pictures at low light environment. On front is a 5MP lens which I think is enough pixels for better selfies. The Ascend G7 is very light at only 165g and very thin at 7.6mm which I think is as thin as the iPhone 5S. For software there is the Android 4.4 Kitkat with Huawei's EMUI 3.0 on top.Plus the device does not have apps trey like the typical Android device but all apps are accessible on the home screen, Apple iOS style.

Official pricing and availability are yet to be announced by Huawei but many are saying that we can expect this device to arrive in November and expect this to be priced at around $390.
