Google Nexus Player Runs Android TV for Only $99

Google, together with the Nexus 6 smartphone and Nexus 9 tablet, has unveiled another product last week. It is a set-up box and the very first device to feature Android TV OS which allows users to stream movies, music and videos, play Android games and run Android apps to any HDMI-connected device, ASUS-made Nexus Player is now official.

The Nexus Player will come with familiar looking remote control, however voice command search will be available on the device as well. Aside from streaming, the Nexus Player also acts as a gaming console and Google also created a separately-sold Bluetooth gamepad that looks like a mash-up between Xbox and Wii controllers, this controller will cost an additional $39 if purchased too.

Inside the player are 1.8GHz quad-core Intel Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB storage and Imagination PowerVR Series 6 graphics.
