Happy Mobile Prive Announced With Octa-core and Fingerprint Sensor

Yes we got a new tech player in the local scene here in the Philippines and that is the Happy Mobile. This company just had an event yesterday at SM North Edsa for its official arrival and announcement of its first two Android smartphones offerings, the Oracle and the Prive which both sport octa-core processor. I would like to say that these two are the happy Mobile's flagship devices due to the processor that powers them but it is the Prive that I can say the more flagship of the two as it has more RAM, bigger battery and has the fingerprint sensor.

Most of Happy Mobile Prive's specs are similar to what we can found on the Happy Mobile Oracle, that includes the 5.5-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS display with OGS or One-Glass Solution technology. This is a new touchscreen technology that reduces the thickness of the display and it removes one of the layers of glass from the traditional capacitive touchscreen stack.

The 1.7GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor is also inside the Prive. RAM is twice as big as on Oracle device at 2GB.The internal storage is also doubled on the Happy Mobile Prive smartphone at 16GB and the good news here, unlike on Oracle, is that the storage can be expanded via microSD card for another up to 32GB. USB OTG is also supported together with Miracast. The cameras are the same where the back one is pegged at 13MP with autofocus and LED flash and the front-facing shooter at 8MP resolution.

Happy Mobile Prive will come in black or white color selections and the battery for this device is 700mAh bigger than the Oracle at 2,800mAh size.

The fingerprint scanner is one of the newest smartphone features that many tech companies are now implementing on their new and upcoming devices. Happy Mobile is one of those as the Prive is equipped with a fingerprint sensor which is situated on the back just like the same found on the new Oppo N3 and Huawei Ascend Mate 7 devices. It is not clear yet what other things this scanner can do, can this be used as an added security feature for online purchases like buying Android apps on Google Play? or other internet-based payment transactions?, we cannot tell for now but what we can safely say is that it can  definitely used to unlock the phone and files to access. I hope we can hear more about this particular feature from Happy Mobile.

This Happy Mobile Prive is Php1k more expensive than the Oracle with a price tag of Php10,999. If I were to ask, I would choose this over the Oracle as for just an extra Php1,000 I will get more RAM, internal storage that is expandable, bigger battery size and of course the fingerprint scanner.
