Cherry Mobile Infinix Pure XL, Octa-core with 5.5" HD Display for Only Php6,999

Cherry Mobile recently held a Thanksgiving party and while the event was on going, the company took the opportunity to announce and hand out to the attendees  their newest octa-core powered smartphone called the Infinix Pure XL. Looking at the specs of the said device and pricing, I can say that this is one of the best and most affordable octa-core equipped smartphones around.

The Cherry Mobile Infinix Pure XL smartphone has a 5.5-inch HD IPS display at 1280x720 pixel resolution with 267 pixels per inch calibration. Under the hood is a 1.4GHz octa-core processor from MediaTek, a MT6592 SoC, there is a 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage and supports microSD card for additional memory. It's not stated yet as to how much memory this device can hold via microSD slot, but I'm thinking it's either 32GB or 64GB.

There is also a quite big camera on the back in terms of pixel size, a 13MP rear camera with LED flash. Some other blogs say it is also equipped with Sony EXMOR lens, but we really have to confirm that from Cherry Mobile itself or once we get our hands on the Infinix Pure XL smartphone. On the front sits a 2MP shooter.

What about the software running the device? That would be an Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. The usual connectivity options are also available such as the WiFi support, Buletooth and GPS. Now it is also not clear yet if the smartphone will support LTE network but mostly it will not and just on 3G. It's a dual-SIM capable smartphone and the whole device will be powered by a 2,600mAh battery.

That's a pretty nice and affordable octa-core smartphone from Cherry Mobile right? If you want a Cherry Mobile phone alternative with the same octa-core processor, you may also want to check the Cherry Mobile Pulse that was announced in August and it's only for Php6,499. These two share almost the same set of specs with the Pulse being a bit smaller at 5 inches.

Or you can also see the Cherry Mobile Excalibur that is also an octa-core device with 5" HD IPS display.  Announced in October that has the same price as the Infinix Pure XL but with Corning Gorilla Glass protection and a lower battery size.
