Archos 50 Diamond Announced with 2GB RAM, LTE and Octa-core Chip

Consumer Electronics Show or CES 2015 is yet to kick off next week in Las Vegas where a lot of new electronics products like tablets and smartphones are expected to be unveiled, but as early as this week there are already a number of tech companies that have announced their upcoming offerings and promised to tell more about them at the said annual event. One of the latest manufacturers in the list is Archos, a French device maker that unveiled the 50 Diamond smartphone.  

The Archos 50 Diamond is expected to be sold for less than $300 when it hits the market sometime this year. It sports nice specs such as the 5-inch Full HD display with OGS technology and 440 pixels per inch calibration. Powering the device is a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor, it is an octa-core chip clocked at 1.5GHz and backed up by a 2GB of RAM. Storage purposes users will have 16GB of space right out of the box with the option to add more via microSD card up to 128GB. Apart from those the 50 Diamond also equipped with LTE support, dual-SIM functionality and a battery juice of 2,700mAh, this is a very good and competitive phone not to mention its lower price tag, at least on paper.
