Dell Venue 8 7000 World's Thinnest Tablet Launched

It was initially announced back in September of last year, and now at CES 2015 in Las Vegas Dell is officially launching the Dell Venue 8 7000 tablet in the US and Canada. The tablet bears the title "World's Thinnest Tablet" with its 6mm thinness or about 0.24 inch.  Not only that, it is also the first to user Intel's Real Sense 3D camera which enables the slate to capture depth information.

There are a lot of things to be liked about the Dell Venue 8 7000 tablet. Aside from its slim form factor it also has almost nothing of a bezel at both sides of the front panel as Dell was able to narrow its size to extremely thin ones. The 8.4-inch display will provide users 2560x1600 (QHD) resolution with 359 pixels per inch calibration.

Under the hood that powers the Venue 8 7000 is a quad-core Intel Atom Intel Atom Z3580 processor clocked at up to 2.3GHz partnered with a 2GB of RAM. Internal storage is with 16GB and is of course expandable via microSD up to staggering 512GB. There are 8MP and 5MP rear and front cameras respectively.

Right out of the box the Dell Venue 8 7000 comes pre-installed with Android 4.4 Kitkat but Dell promised an Android Lollipop update soon after the release. Speaking of release, like what I have said above the device is now available in the US and Canada for a price tag of $3,999 and can be purchased over are website. No word yet if the tablet will be released in the Philippines and for how much.
