SKK Mobile Lynx, Octa-core with 13MP Camera and Anti-Theft App Unveiled

A couple days ago SKK Mobile via their Facebook account teased an upcoming smartphone offering that was to bear the name "Lynx", it was just a photo and nothing more. Today SKK has officially unveiled the new Android Kitkat-powered device they are about to release this month. Just like the teaser suggested this is called SKK Mobile Lynx.

The phone features a 5-inch HD IPS display, an octa-core processor which is most likely from MediaTek, a 13MP rear camera all packed in with autofocus and LED flash. Aside from the 720p display, back camera and processor there are other features this one has that cannot be easily found in competition.

SKK Mobile said the Lynx will be equipped with an Anti-Theft app which will come pre-installed with the device. Is it the same TARA app from MyPhone or a completely different home-grown security app? We don't know yet but at least that's a thing here. USB OTG is supported by this smartphone and that is a nice thing to have. Plus there is going to be a Power-Saving Management tool in the device, whatever that is I think it will be useful to maximize the battery life.

SKK Mobile Lynx specs:

- 5" HD IPS display
- 1280 x 720 resolution
- 1.4GHz octa-core processor
- 8GB internal storage
- Supports microSD card up to 64GB
- 13MP rear camera with autofocus and LED Flash
- 5MP front camera
- Android 4.4 Kitkat
- WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS
- FM Radio
- Dual-SIM
- Dual standby
- 3G/HSPA+
- Anti-theft
- Power saving management tool
- 2,500mAh battery

Unfortunately no pricing and availability details were revealed as of yet. I guess we have to wait on this one until the device is released to see what exactly new features are.
