SKK Mobile Spectrum Tablet with Android Kitkat and TV for Php2,999

While most are busy talking about the new Android One smartphones that just got newly released in the Philippines. SKK Mobile silently launched a new budget-friendly tablet powered by an Android 4.4.2 Kitkat mobile OS. The slate in question is called Spectrum.

The image above was posted by SKK Mobile on their Facebook page featuring the device itself and some of the specs we can find on it. The photo shows a device with 7-inch capacitive touch display that is with quad-core chip, 4GB internal storage which is expandable via microSD card up to 32GB. On the back is  a 5MP camera paired with a VGA front facing shooter.

Good thing is the SKK Spectrum supports 3G network, that means for connecting to the internet users can also rely on cellular connectivity feature and not just via WiFi. It is also a dual-SIM device with dual standby functionality. The slate is also analog TV-equipped so users will be able to watch TV programs while on the go.

It is not stated in the image, but one of the comments on its Facebook page asked how much this tablet is going to be for and SKK answered with Php2,999 price tag.

However, the amount of RAM, screen resolution and battery size were not mentioned. Comments have been asking for those specs and so far no answer yet from SKK. I will try to update this post once we have answers to those questions. See other specs below.
