The New Starmobile Knight Vision Just Got Unveiled With Built-in Digital TV Receiver

Finally we heard something new from Starmobile again this year. The local company is returning with a brand new smartphone bearing the Knight brand series and offering very competitive specs and features to look forward to. Starmobile Knight Vision is now officially announced. It's not your typical mid-range smartphone, it comes with a twist and yet still priced lower than Php10,000.

So what's the twist? Starmobile claims it to be the first in Pinoy Android smartphone, it comes with built-in Digital TV or DTV receiver right out of the box. You may say that TV tuning capability is not new in the smartphone scene even in the Philippines alone, you may be right but it is digital version Starmobile is talking about here and unlike analog TV signals, digital TV broadcast provides clearer image and audio quality. As of March 2015 there is about 10 free DTV channels available which includes ABS-CBN and GMA Network.

“We are proud to introduce the KNIGHT Vision as we believe that DTV technology presents the biggest change in TV viewing ever,” said Starmobile Product Development Head Michael Chen. “Mobile DTV is bigger than the introduction of color and HD broadcast combined.” he added.

Okay enough with the TV support for now, let's go back to the other features this Knight Vision has to offer. One of the wow factors I can see here is the camera. The rear facing shooter is equipped with 13MP configuration all fully powered with autofocus, Sony IMX Exmor sensor, LED flash and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) technologies, that simply means that the Knight Vision wants to provide the best moment-capturing experience as possible. The front one is not bad at 8MP resolution also with autofocus capability, selfies are covered. Check out the rest of the specs below.

Starmobile Knight Vision is expected to be released in mid-April for a price tag of Php9,990.
