More Details and Photos Leaked about Cherry Mobile Omega Lite

Cherry Mobile Omega Lite is not officially launched yet but we've already heard and seen so much about the device since it was first leaked earlier this month. Some specs and features have been unofficially released before via leaked pamphlet and today more and more details have emerged online about the Omega Lite, and the source is more reliable than the first time.

People over at Unbox.ph have spotted more photos and specs from Cherry Angel's Facebook page featuring the upcoming Omega Lite smartphone. Cherry Angel is one of the official retailers of Cherry Mobile devices and at the same time one of the top leakers about the new and upcoming gadgets from Cherry Mobile.

Thanks to these photos posted by Cherry Angel as most of the key specs have just been known to many users who are eyeing to get this one once officially released. It is priced at Php4,999 however is that reasonable for what users can get out of it? Let's take a look.

Many thought and that included myself that Cherry Mobile would have an HD display (1280 x 720 resolution) for its 5-inch screen at least, but many were not that happy upon knowing that there is only FWVGA which is equivalent to 854 x 480 resolution. One other major let down here is the RAM which only has 512MB, that sounds a bit outdated as most of smartphones today come with at least 1GB even some entry to mid range levels devices.

Aside from the mentioned above, the rest of the specs are quite acceptable for the price tag. There're quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 4GB internal storage that can support microSD card up to 32GB, rear and front cameras with 5MP and 2MP pixels respectively, 3G and Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS.

If I am to ask I don't think the asking price of Php4,999 is reasonable for what the Omega Lite is offering at least on paper. There are other Cherry Mobile devices that can offer more with lesser price like the Cherry Mobile One which is already an Android Lollipop device to name one.

The battery size is not even revealed yet so we have to further wait on Cherry Mobile to officially announce the device and other missing specs. Hopefully it is not below 2,000mAh.

As you can see on the above image the back cover seems to sport leather with stitching fashion, just in case you are not aware yet, this is called faux (fake) leather design the same thing we see on a number of Galaxy Note devices from Samsung.
