Globe Telecom Teams up with WhatsApps for Free Access

Smart is currently offering free Skype Qik access which was announced a few days ago, now it's Globe Telecom's turn to give free access to all its prepaid and postpaid subscribers in the Philippines by partnering with one of the world's biggest messaging apps, WhatsApp.

Globe announced via press release that they are working together with WhatsApp to provide instant and real-time text messaging, photo sharing and calling experience to all its subscribers free of charge starting April 30, 2015.

However there is a catch, prepaid users must register to any call, text or surf promo like GoSakto, GoSurf and many others while postpaid users should subscribe to MyLifestyle Plan to take advantage of the promo.

Once enrolled to any of the eligible prepaid promos and postpaid plan, consumers can now enjoy unlimited WhatsApp access without incurring any additional data charge and interact with anybody from around the world or with about 800 million WhatsApp registered users.
