Two Variants of Asus ZenFone 2 will Officially be Released Next Month in the Philippines

All we know as of writing is that Asus Philippines will officially release the new ZenFone 2 smartphones in the country next month, rumors even say that it would be on May 10. What we did not know was which variants of the devices will be launched here since the phones will be available in multiple options, until today.

Asus has already updated their Philippine website showing two variants of ZenFone 2 smartphones and their corresponding specs. But no pricing yet. According to the site only ZE500CL and ZE551ML will be released in the country, the ZE550ML won't be here unless Asus PH is not done updating the website yet but that's highly unlikely.

YugaTech pointed out that reason ZE550ML won't be released is that "the specs and pricing are too close and it might just be cannibalized by other variants," and that makes sense.

The suggested retail prices for the smartphone are still to be revealed and looks like those will be unveiled on the launch date. But if you have been following Philippine updates on the said device you might have already know that Lazada has already been offering the device for nearly Php11k and even some stores at Mega Mall where it has been spotted a few days back also has the same price tag.Some bloggers suggested that Asus might price these Android Lollipop phones lower than those.
