Cherry Mobile's Android One Smartphone Invades Myanmar Market

The search engine giant Google Inc with its Android One program and partnership with the country's Cherry Mobile has just invaded the Myanmar market launching the Cherry Mobile One smartphone. Myanmar makes the eight country following India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Turkey where Google has successfully released the Android One initiative.

Just in case you do not know yet, Android One program is Google's own initiative which aims to help put high-quality, up-to-date devices into the hands of as many people as possible via partnership with other smartphone makers.

The device, at launch date, will run on the most updated Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS and that will include Google's new Material Design interface, up to 2x better performance, a battery-saver feature, smarter notifications, and quick access to data controls. And of course, when Google releases recent updates to the Android Lollipop OS or even the newly unveiled Android M, these Android One devices will be the first to download and experience it.

Cherry Mobile One will be available across Myanmar starting June 26 bearing a price tag starting at Ks109,000 or about Php4,500 in Philippine peso.
