Samsung Launches Their Thinnest Smartphone yet, the Galaxy A8

Sporting only 0.23 inch or about 5.9mm thinness and all-metal chassis, the Samsung Galaxy A8 is the Korean electronics company's slimmest smartphone ever. And it's just quietly launched on the Chinese market for now bearing a price tag of 3199 Yuan. It's extremely thin but it doesn't mean low-calibrated specs are being offered by this device. It's actually one of the most feature-packed smartphones in the midrange category.

Apart from the super sexy profile size, the Galaxy A8 also features a very sexy design, not to mention again the all-metal build that adds more attractiveness to the phone. What about the battery size? It's hard t believe but Samsung was able to squeeze the massive 3.050mAh pack in its slim body and it only weights 151 grams.

A quick run down on the specs, the Galaxy A8 has a large 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 resolution. On the inside are the 1.0GHz octa-core processor and it's a 64-bit Snapdragon 615 one, together with it is a 2GB RAM and a default 16GB internal storage. It is expandable, yes, and according to most tech blogs I've read that can support up to 128GB via microSD card. Photo taking requirements will be 16MP and 5MP resolution rear and front respectively.

The most latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will be powering the Galaxy A8 supporting up to 4G LTE of network connectivity. Additionally, the home button on the front panel is equipped with the fingerprint scanner, something we usually see on high-end or flagship level devices.
