Asus ZenFone Go is Coming to the Philippines

The Taiwanese tech giant Asus does not show any sign of slowing down as more and more ZenFone devices are being thrown at us. Since so many consumers are so happy about the latest ZenFones, we are also willing to hear more and see more of new and upcoming members of the successful Zen series of gadgets and accessories. Just last week, Asus unveiled a couple of ZenFone 2 devices at the ZenFestival and then a week prior to that was the local launch of the ZenPad tablets. Today we hear a new phone that was posted on Asus PH Facebook page revealing the new handset is to arrive in the country, the ZenFone Go.

The Asus ZenFone Go is suggested to be the in the budget section of the entire series which means we can expect this device to be a lot more affordable than the rest of the series, but does that mean we are also to see a trimmed down set of specs this phone will offer? Let's take a look.

Asus ZenFone Go specs:

- 5" HD IPS display
- 1280 x 720 resolution, 294ppi
- Quad-core MediaTek processor
- 2GB RAM
- 8GB/16GB Internal storage
- Supports microSD card up to 64GB
- Free 100GB of Google Drive for 2 years
- 8MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture
- 2MP front camera
- Android 5.1 Lollipop with ZenUI
- WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS
- 3G
- Dual-SIM, Dual-Standby
- 144.5 x 71 x 9.98mm
- 135 grams
- Black, White or Red
- 2,070mAh Battery

We see some downgrades and changes here but not to the point of disappointing, very minimal yet noticeable changes are actually spotted like the camera configurations and storage options. There's still a more than 1GB RAM, HD IPS display and even an Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. Battery pack comes with a 2,070mAh juice.

As of writing we don't know how much this phone is going to be for and when it is coming to the Philippine market, but one thing is for sure, this Asus ZenFone Go is definitely going to arrive here in the country as it has been confirmed via Asus PH Facebook page today.

I will talk more about this smartphone when it's officially launched in the Philippines.
