Samsung Launches Consumer-Ready Gear VR Headset for just $99


The Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics has partnered with Facebook-own company Oculus and launched a brand new virtual reality headset called Gear VR at the recent Oculus Connect Developer Conference event. This  new version of Gear VR is announced to be consumer-ready and it is offered with very competitive price.

According to announcement, this Samsung Gear VR will be available this November just in time for holiday shopping. For how much? Just $99, that is half the price of its predecessor.
This new Samsung Gear VR headset has some design enhancements, like it is now 22% lighter than previous version and the touchpad has just received a noticeable upgrade for much improved user experience and more accurate interaction with the headset or content.

Another thing is, this virtual reality headset of Samsung supports more devices than the previous generations. Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, Note 5 and S6 Edge+ are all going to perfectly work with this VR gadget.
