Cherry Mobile Flare Mate to Feature Fingerprint Scanner

Looks like there is yet another member of the Flare series of smartphones from Cherry Mobile that is going to be released in time for Christmas shopping in the Philippines. A Cherry Mobile phamplet was recently spotted and posted online showing the new Cherry Mobile Flare Mate featuring a fingerprint scanner together with some of its key specs and a very affordable price tag.

This phablet was first spotted by a fellow tech blogger at RonNotTheDJblog, took a picture of the flyer and posted on his blog. The Flare Mate, if this will ever be released, is surely a head turner not just for its fingerprint sensor feature, but also for the specs and price. According to the phamplet, this device will be sporting 6-inch Full HD display, with the scanner sitting on the back right below the 16MP rear camera.
Furthermore, the Cherry Mobile Flare Mate will be powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core processor paired with a 2GB of RAM for multitasking purposes and smoother navigation experience. The internal storage is said to be at 16GB which is most likely an expandable one via microSD card. Also, both rear and front cameras are equipped with the backside illumination technology to make sure that photos are brightly captured even in low-light situations.

And one of the nicest things about this Flare Mate is that it will be offered with Android 5.1 Lollipop right out of the box. LTE and dual-SIM functionality are also showed to be supported by this phablet.

For now, those are the only specs that were revealed or leaked should I say together with the very affordable asking price of just Php8,999. However, the battery size is nowhere to be found in the image, hopefully it's not going to be less than 2,500mAh. No one knows yet as to when this device will be officially released but most likely to be either next month or in December. We will for sure know it when Cherry Mobile announces it.
