Not Dead Yet: Microsoft Unveils Nokia 230 Feature Phone

What do we say to the feature phone's god of death? Not today! No not today as Microsoft just released yet another feature and internet-ready phone in the guise of the Nokia 230. This handset will come in single and dual-sim variants and sport aluminum shell.

The Nokia 230's form looks very similar to the recent feature phones released by Microsoft like there is a display that measures about 2.8" with resolution of 320x240. The screen dominates upper half of the front panel while the lower half is for the very familiar and physical keyboard. It's so nice to still see new versions of this kind of phone coming out in the market despite massive adoption to smartphones of different companies today. Sometimes, we just need simplicity with our device that is enabled to do what a phone should do plus some entertainment and helpful features with it.

Furthermore, the Nokia 230 is equipped with 2MP rear and front cameras with LED flashes to make sure that every photo or selfie is illuminated especially in low light scenes. Users of this device can also download apps and games via Opera Store. Microsoft said that users will be provided one free download of Gameloft games every month for one year, these games include the Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Midnight Pool 3.

Entertainment wise, this phone comes with built-in FM Radio and mp3 players and it also supports microSD card up to 32GB for addition files and music and video storage.  Powered by Nokia Series 30+ OS, the Nokia 230 and 230 Dual houses a 1200mAh battery that promises to provide up to 23 hours of talktime.
