First Ever Pinoy Cyber Sale Launched by Major Philippine Online Stores

In an effort to promote online shopping in the Philippines, the Department of Trade and Industry has partnered together with major online stores in the country as well as with digital industry leaders to officially launched the first ever Pinoy Cyber Sale.

The Pinoy Cyber Sale will run from November 27 (Friday) all the way until November 27 (Monday), 2015. It is a unified sale event which more than twenty online shops have teamed up together for this event to offer very attractive deals, discounts and promotions of the products they sell online. If you are aware of the US's major retail shopping events, this Pinoy Cyber Sale of ours coincides with America's Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping madness that also happens on the same dates this year.

“As the Philippines becomes increasingly mobile-first, we also see a massive change in the way Pinoys shop.  We now see the emergence of "Micro-Moments" that occur throughout the consumer journey which influence brand preference and purchase decisions.” - Ken Lingan, Country Head of Google Philippines.

"I am confident that this initiative of drawing together all major facets of the e-commerce industry would be a good venue for the consumer to enhance their awareness and boost their confidence in online shopping as it presents legitimate e-commerce players in a consortium website where members are bound to provide a ‘one-stop solution’ offering more creative marketing methods; ethical advertising; sets out consumers’ needs; and promotes consumer protection above all.” - Dr. Prudencio Reyes, DTI Undersecretary.

Participating merchants and their offers can be viewed on . Merchants include Lazada, Zalora, Foodpanda, Ensogo, Shopee, Goods, Xend Business Solutions, Shopinas, Weemall,, Reloved, Island Rose, Azalea Residences, Best Western Antel, Ellana Minerals, Mimaropa Ventures, One Network E-Commerce, Shopback, and Takatack.  The Pinoy Cyber Sale is poised to become an annual online shopping event in the Philippines.
