Starmobile Knight Spectra Launched, Sports Dual-Rear Camera

As promised a few days back, Starmobile just launched their newest flagship device that is going to be offered in time for the holiday shopping craze. Meet the new Starmobile Knight Spectra. This device sports beautiful design and specs that many will definitely love to have, and one of the most highlighted and exciting features this smartphone boasts is the two rear facing cameras with 13MP and 2MP resolution, that's in addition to the front facing 8MP shooter.

Yes you read that right, two cameras sitting on the back panel. This particular feature makes the Knight Spectra to be the first local-branded smartphone to sport dual-camera functionality. I am pretty sure I am not the only one who wondered how this thing is exactly going to work in real life.

Starmobile said that the 13MP is the main camera that users will have and the smaller 2MP one will act like a companion sensor where it will gather more in-depth details of the scene being captured while the main camera takes the photo itself, and with the help of Starmobile-exclusive Star Cam software, users can still re-focus or adjust the focal point in a picture even after capturing it. So should you not satisfied with the captured photo, Star Cam function will let you re-focus the lens without a problem.

This dual-camera set up should also be able to provide faster focusing, more vibrant color reproduction in the images, and less distortion in the picture quality. I am hoping to have a review unit of this device to explore it more and share with you my personal experience.

Apart from the camera, there are other exciting specs found on this Knight Spectra device. On the front is the big 5.5-inch Full HD display with the implementation of On Cell AMOLED technology, this screen should provide more vivid and crisp display and a more accurate color reproduction. Screen resolution is equivalent to 1920 x 1080 and to a total 401 pixels per inch density. And if users are worried about the screen panel, they really don't have to since the front and back panels are protected by a scratch resistant glass according to Starmobile.

Now on the inside, a 1.5GHz octa-core 64-bit processor which is a Snapdragon 615 chip from Qualcomm, pairing this power is 3GB RAM for more smoother and lag free multitasking activities. Storage wise, users will get a more than enough 32GB of space and if this is still not enough, they can have another up to 64GB microSD card in it. I am also happy to report that the Starmobile Knight Spectra is running on the latest Android 5.1 Lollipop, and hopefully a Marshmallow update will follow suit.

Known to most Knight series of smartphones from Starmobile is the inclusion of a Digital TV tuner, yes this one also has the same functionality making users able to catch up with what's happening on the TV-verse even on the go. For internet peeps, this device supports dual-SIM functionality with up to 4G LTE network connectivity.

Keeping everything up and running is a massive 3,500mAh battery pack. Now this is a huge battery and will at least take three hours to fully charge using a normal charger, I am not sure yet if this will come with a fast charge tech like many other big-batt smartphones.
