LG Launches X Cam and X Screen Smartphones Ahead of MWC 2016

This year's Mobile World Congress won't kick off until next week, but LG electronics couldn't wait any longer and just officially announced the new line up of smartphones they are to offer this year. The new LG X Cam and X Screen smartphones are now official. To be honest, I did not expect these two phones at all as everyone's eyes and ears were too focused on the upcoming LG G5 flagship which the Korean company to unveil at the MWC 2016.

The LG X Cam is a mid-ranged device with much emphasis on its camera prowess, hence the name. On the back is a dual-camera functionality, 13MP as the main shooter paired with  5MP secondary rear camera. It is not that clear yet how these two back cameras are going to work together but LG is calling them "the most advanced camera experience in a mass-tier smartphone."

In addition to camera specs, the LG X Cam sports 5.2-inch 1080p display and powered by an octa-core processor with 1.4GHz clocking. There's also 2GB of RAM and an internal storage of 16GB. LTE support is available on the X Cam, battery is pegged at 2520mAh.

LG X Screen, as you may already have guessed has a unique feature found on its screen. It has two screens, similar to what is found on the other recent LG V10 smartphone. The main screen boasts a 4.93-inch 720p display, the secondary display is as small as 1.76 inches sitting above it with 520 x 80 resolution and what's interesting here is it features "always-on" functionality.

Powering this X Screen is a 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM as well and a 16GB internal storage. There is also 13MP rear camera and 8MP front facing snapper.

The LG X Cam and X Screen are powered by the most recent Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. If I remember it right, these are the first Android devices I have heard running on Marshmallow right out of the box.
