But since that announcement, no one had an idea which of these Zenfone devices are to get the upgrade. However today, that is to change though as Asus has unveiled which smartphones of theirs are to get the update.

So if you are an owner of one the listed devices below, be ready, as the much-awaited Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is coming very very soon.

  • PadFone S (PF500KL)
  • ZenFone 2 (ZE550ML, ZE551ML)
  • ZenFone 2 Deluxe (ZE551ML)
  • ZenFone 2 Deluxe Special Edition (ZE551ML)

  • ZenFone Zoom (ZX551ML)
Asus, through their official ZenTalk forum site, said...
"Google Messenger, Calendar, and Gmail apps will automatically be included with the Android M update. These apps will replace three ZenUI apps—ASUS Messenger, ASUS Mail and ASUS Calendar—as the default apps in the Android M version of ZenUI if you restore to factory settings after the update.*"
Looks like all the newest Asus ZenFone smartphones are in for the treat starting with the first ZenFone 2. Even the newest ones are also included like the Zoom and Max, which is very nice to hear. Additional good thing about this announcement is that Asus said the update will start rolling out in Q2 of 2016, that's March, April and May.
