O+ M Smartphone Announced with Android Marshmallow OS

This smartphone is probably one of the most affordable devices we can find around running the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow mobile operating system. O Plus has officially unveiled the O+ M smartphone, we don't know what M stands for but I wanna think it is Marshmallow.

Google formally announced the Android 6.0 Marshmallow in October 2015, it's already May 2016 and Marshmallow-running smartphones are still not that easy to find on the market especially in the budget category. Thanks to O Plus as they are one of the few companies that are now offering these kinds of devices for a very affordable price.

For its price tag of just Php4,395 and even though it is categorized as an entry-level device, the specs that it comes with are still more than enough for casual users. For example, there is a 5-inch screen size sporting an HD IPS resolution for a much better and less pixelated viewing experience. Inside it is a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, paired with 1GB of RAM and 16GB expandable internal storage.

For cellular connectivity wise, there is no LTE but 3G and HSPA+ are present which should be sufficient enough to enjoy decent internet speed on the go. Dual-SIM support are also on this device so you can switch from one network provider to another anytime and anywhere you are. Camera specs, users get 8MP in the rear and 2MP in the front panel. Unfortunately, we don't have any word yet as to how much battery we are getting out of this O Plus M device.

O Plus M specs:

- 5" HD IPS Display
- 1280 x 720 resolution
- 1.3GHz quad-core processor
- 16GB internal storage
- Supports microSD card up to 32GB
- 8MP rear camera
- 2MP front camera
- Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Once this O+ M is available for purchase, users will also be able to get a free 16GB memory card from SanDisk. Again, the O+ M is going to be retailed for Php4,395.
