New Cherry Mobile M1 has 10-Core Helio X20 Chip, 4GB RAM, 21MP Camera, and Android Marshmallow

Quad-core and octa-core powered devices just now got an even more powerful competition in the guise of MediaTek X20 chip where it has 10 cores of processors right off the bat. And Cherry Mobile is the first to offer this deca-core chipset through their newly announced M1 smartphone.

Accompanying this new MediaTek processor are also the best of specs and features around, like a massive 4GB RAM, 21MP rear camera with Sony IMX230, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and more for a price that's very low for what it's got. The Cherry Mobile M1 device is a 5.5-inch handset with Full HD resolution.

On the back sits the 21MP rear camera, it should provide best quality of photos and videos, and speaking of videos, the M1 is capable of recording 4K clips. So if you love or would like capturing things in 4K resolution, but does not have the budget for those high-end devices that offer it, Cherry Mobile M1 should be your device. It is also one of those devices from local brands to implement a USB Typce-C ports, with this, the phone is can process file transfer much faster than the common USB conenction we have been enjoying.

This type of USB also allows Cherry Mobile to equip the M1 with fast charge technology. Underneath the phone is a massive 3,600mAh battery pack and Cherry Mobile said that this phone can be fully recharged in just one hour and a half, I am assuming that's from 0%.

Now not all gadgets around are perfect, everyone of them has downturns, and Cherry Mobile M1 is no exception to that. Unfortunately, the phone will not support microSD card for additional storage space. Meaning users will be limited to the 32GB space the M1 comes with. I am not sure why Cherry Mobile has to leave out that feature, that most important functionality, 32GB (minus the system and preinstalled apps' usage) is eventually not going to be enough. 4K videos eat a lot of space in the memory. Samsung, did this with their Galaxy S6 device and a lot of users and tech enthusiasts were really not happy about it. Cherry Mobile should have made the second sim tray a hybrid sim slot (like what Samsung did in the Galaxy S7 as they learned from their previous mistake) to support external memory chip even if it would cost additional price.

Second is, the Cherry Mobile M1 is encased in a polycarbonate frame. This is a flagship phone by Cherry Mobile and yet it's still not sporting metal body design like most other smartphone manufacturers and vendors around the globe do nowadays. But casing is not an issue for many, the device still looks very nice though. The deca-core processor, 21MP camera, Marshmallow and USB Type-C should the the things to be most excited about this device and of course its price tag.

But, performance wise this Cherry Mobile M1 will pretty sure deliver the job it promises. MediaTek Helio X20 Deca-core processor, 4GB RAM and Android 6.0 Marshmallow are the main stars of this device. Fingerprint Scanner on its back is also an interesting addition to the club.
