NAIA Now Offers up to 1GBPS of Free WiFi, Thanks to Smart, PLDT and DOTr

As what has been previously promised by the government through partnership by Department of Transportation and leading telco giant Smart Communications, the Ninoy Aquino International Airport aka NAIA is now equipped with free WiFi boasting a download speed of up to 1GBPS. This followed the series of Smart and PLDT's installation of free and high speed WiFi connectivity to major airports in the country such as Davao, Clark, Kalibo, General Santos airports and many other.

All four terminals of NAIA are now installed with carrier-grade free internet connectivity for all the passengers and travelers to enjoy while within the NAIA airports. This service can carry up to 3,000 users at once without the speed being compromised.

"This state-of-the-art communications infrastructure will help boost the country's tourism industry. Today's travelers are constantly online and rely on mobile apps for information and services that make their trips more enjoyable and productive," said PLDT and Smart Chairman, President, and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan.

Beginning September 24th, users within the NAIA premises will be able to enjoy this Smart free and unlimited WiFi until October 10th, 2016. During this dates, users can surf the net, browse and upload photos or videos to their social media sites, check emails and many other online activities for as long as they can and want. Coincidentally, 10th of October is President Duterte's 100th day in the office.

Now what happens after that said date? Users will still be able to take advantage of the free WiFi at the same speed rate provided by Smart for up to 1 hour per device.

Smart Communications and PLDT are not done yet as more airports and major transportation hubs in the country will also receive the same WiFi connectivity upgrade in the near future.
