iFlix Philippines Goes to Davao City

Thanks to technology and most of all to the gift of the internet as catching up on our favorite series, TV programs, documentaries and even rewatching our favorite movies of all time have never been this convenient and inexpensive. With the rise of streaming services in the online world, more and more netizens are now starting to switch from the traditional cable services and free channels from local networks. iFlix, the leading internet TV service provider in Southeast Asia is one of a big player in this category and it is taking the Philippine internet by storm.

So very recently, iFlix finally went down the Philippines and visited Davao City to personally introduce their services to the people of Davao through the invited members of the media and local bloggers. Thankfully, Davao Bloggers Society and I, DugomPinoy, were invited to this special event called "iFlix All Access".

Most likely than not, many of you are already aware of what an iFlix and how affordable it is. But for those people who are just learning about this, iFlix is an internet-based entertainment company for emerging markets. It offers subscribers unlimited access to thousands of TV shows, movies, and more. You can sign up for a 30-day free trial via iFlix's website on www.iflix.com, giving you full access to all iFlix's world-class features and content on every device you own, with no credit card required and no obligations.

Every subscription gives you the following.

  • The ability to share their iFlix subscription with family or friends and watch shows on two different devices at the same time.

Sherwin Dela Cruz, Country Manager for iFlix Philippines, commented, "We are committed to bringing the best in local, regional, and international entertainment to as many devices and homes possible. With outstanding selection of first-run exclusives, award-winning titles, and full-box sets of iconic series, iFlix is radically changing the entertainment landscape."
iFlix mentioned that as of the moment, the company has partnerships with over 160 studios and distributors all over the world. All of these partnerships give iFlix the ability to offer thousands of TV show and movie contents to all its subscribers. And yes that includes local movies and TV programs too from big networks like Star Cinema, GMA , ABS-CBN and TV5, even Pinoy indie films are now available on iFlix.

Right now, I have been watching my favorite movies on iFlix such as 300, Sweeney Todd, Titanic, Avatar, and so many others. US TV shows like The Flash, The Arrow, The Magicians are also on iFlix. All series and episodes of Encantadia and Etheria can also be watched on iFlix as well as the latest and currently ongoing Encantadia series like you can watch last night's episode the next day right on your mobile device.

Before the iFlix All Access event ended at the Rekado Restaurant here in Davao, iFlix treated to us a free movie screening of an indie film titled Flotsam. This is one of those Pinoy indie films that I really liked and would really recommend you guys to see.

Below are some of the photos from the iFlix All Access event to give you a quick glimpse of what really happened there.

Fellow Davao Bloggers Society members having fun while competing with each other during iFlix's "name that tune" contest where they are to guess which soundtrack and intro music are from which movies or TV shows. Ria (far left) of DiyosaLife.com won this segment.

This iFlix hoodie is my favorite iFlix item of all. haha. Unfortunately only the "name that tune" winner was the only one able to take this home, and it's Ria. I got an iFlix t-shirt though which is nice. But still, this hoodie is the best ever. : )

Monika from iFlix Philippines who graciously explained to us what iFlix is, its offers, and why we should sign up for one. She also answered all of our questions during Q&A about iFlix.
