Meizu PRO 6 Coming to the Philippines Next Month

The Chinese electronics company Meizu is currently set to open their first physical store in the Philippines next month at the SM Southmall. And with this official launch is the arrival of the newest Meizu smartphones in the local market. One of those is their flagship device called the PRO 6. I think this is the most beautiful device the company has recently made, and that's because much of the outside look of this device really gives us that iPhone impressions especially the newest ones. There is even a 3D Press support implemented in its 5.2-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display which works exactly like the one (3D Touch) found on the latest iPhone devices.

The Meizu Pro 6 is encased in aluminum unibody casing where the back panel features the antenna lines (one on top and another at the bottom), this antenna line curve looks similar on iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, but we have to take note that this device was initially launched in April and iPhone 7 was just in September. More on its back panel is the 21MP camera equipped with Sony IMX230 sensor and just right below it is the 10-LED ring light surrounding the laser autofocus sensor, and this is kind of interesting to see how good the photos are going to be. On its front face, for selfie purposes, is a 5MP snapper.

Inside of the Meizu flagship phone is no joke either. Doing the heavy lifting is the 10-core MediaTek Helio X25 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, and working alongside it is the massive 4GB RAM. If there is one turn off that I can spot right now on this Meizu Pro 6, that would be the lack of microSD slot for additional memory space. So if you are going to buy this device, you are stuck with whatever amount of available storage in this one. It comes in 32GB and 64GB options, better choose the bigger one if I were you. However, this may change yet and we don't know maybe Meizu will release a microSD-supporting one here in the local market, and besides most local tech blogs report that it actually supports microSD up to 128GB. Whatever the real deal is, we will know once the phone is officially launched locally.

Software side, the device will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Meizu's own Flyme 5.5 OS on top of it. Connectivity wise, user will get to enjoy the usual WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, Dual-SIM and LTE support. For charging and connecting the phone to other devices there would be the latest USB Type-C sitting at its butt together with the speakers, 3.5mm jack and microphone.

Meizu Pro 6 is equipped with 2560mAh battery and it has a fast charge tech of its own called mCharge 3.0 that promises to fully charge the phone in less than an hour.
