Smart Invites You to Join Torotot Festival on New Year's Eve in Davao City

Since 2013, Davao City has been holding its annual Torotot Festival every New Year's Eve and this was organized in line with the city's firecracker and pyrotechnic ban. This year is no different at all as  Davaoenos, in partnership with Smart Communications Inc, are so ready to welcome the new year of 2017 through this gathering at which all participants will simultaneously blow party horns when the clock strikes at 12AM. Great thing is, everybody is invited to join!

This year's Davao Torotot Festival will kick off at 4PM on December 31, 2016 with a parade at Freedom park en route to People's Park. Then the event itself will take place at Rizal Park starting at 6PM.

In addition to the blowing of Torotots, the leading telecommunications company in the Philippines will treat all the partygoers with tons of entertainment and prizes. Some of the competitions will be the Best Torotot-Inspired Costume, Cosplay, Most Creative Torotot, Zumba and Hip-Hop dance. Each of the winners are awaited by big prizes from Smart. On-stage games are lined up as well all throughout the duration of the party as well as live performances from local DJs in the Rave Party.

Smart will also raffling off LTE-capable devices to underscore their upgraded network. When the midnight strikes, balloons with corresponding prizes will be dropped at the event and those are just some of things you should not miss out on.

The title was previously held by Japan with a total number of 6,900 participants. According to Wikipedia, Davao City tallied a total of 7,568 people who joined the event and eventually beat Japan.
