First Alcatel Concept Store in the Philippines Opens in Davao City

Alcatel is one of those mobile brands that many of us Filipinos are very familiar with especially those users who witnessed the dawn of cellular phones back in late 90s and early 2000s. Alcatel is probably the second most recognized phone brand next to Nokia in the early days of cellphones in the country, even up until today. And maybe this is one of the reasons why they are still brave enough to establish a physical store of their own despite having the local smartphone scene already too crowded. The very first Alcatel concept store is now officially open at Gaisano Mall, Davao City.

On December 8, 2016, DugomPinoy was one of those few invited people to witness the opening of this store at the 3rd floor of Gaisano Mall of Davao aka GMall.

It was actually a very simple event. There was a quick and yet solemn blessing ceremony headed by a priest together with the store owner, representatives from Alcatel Philippines and store staff. After the ribbon cutting part, the store was formally opened to the public and early mall goers had the first chance of getting inside the concept store and checking out smartphones and other devices on display on that day.

Alcatel Move Time Smartwatch pirced at Php2,999

All smartphones on display had this Smart free 1-year data bundle offer

In addition to the Alcatel Pixi 4 devices, some phablets, and the Move Time smartwatch that were at the store for users and interested buyers to try out, the newest and stunningly premium looking Alcatel Shine Lite smartphone was also on display which for some reason I was not able to take photos of. But it's there right now, you can have a visit at the store and check it out yourself.
