Asus Zenfone 4 Series Launching this May?

Your ZenFone 3 smartphone is about to get a bit outdated and the most loved ZenFone 2 series is to be a thing of the ancient past in the next couple of months as Asus is expected to launch the inevitable new and much upgraded series of ZenFone handsets. Unconfirmed reports started to pop up online citing sources from the supply chain claiming that the Taiwanese company is about to unleash next-generation ZenFone devices in May 2017, allegedly referred to as the ZenFone 4.

While we do not know why May, but if you can still remember it was also in May of 2016 when Asus officially launched the Zenfone 3 series during the Computex Taipei annual tech event in Taiwan. This year the Computex Taipei event is already set up to take place from May 30 to June 3. And if the previous year is to follow, then this venue will be the best candidate for the said ZenFone 4 series launch.

Right at this very moment, there are so little information surrounding this upcoming ZenFone 4 devices. All that is known right now is that Asus aims to double sales of smartphones from last year and they will do this by releasing more phone models this year as well as more high-end and upgraded ZenFone 4. It was reported that in 2016 Asus was only able to ship over 17 million of Zenfone devices which is about 14% less than 2015's more than 20 million units.

With the recent announcement of Zenfone AR and Zenfone 3 Zoom at the CES 2017 which are expected to help Asus get closer to the goal for the year, the apparent arrival of the new Zenfone 4 series will surely determine how the Taiwanese electronics giant is going to perform this 2017.
