Big Batteried LG X Power2 with Android 7 Nougat Launched

Most gadget enthusiasts around the world are expecting LG to launch its new G6 flagship device at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. But only a few know that LG is also about to bring a new device in the scene over the weekend. The device in question here is the X Power 2, like its predecessor the previous year it is carrying a massive and bigger 4500mAh battery.

It's one of the big batteried smartphones in the market right now when LG officially releases this in the wild. LG says that this X Power 2 will enable users to "play back videos continuously for approximately 15 hours, provide navigational directions for about 14 hours, or surf the web for around 18 hours." Of course massive batteries like this also takes more time to recharge using regular chargers, but LG is going to offer this device with its own fast charging tech that according to them will charge the phone with 50 battery life in just one hour.

LG announced the X Power2 will feature Comfort View which enables the phone to reduce the amount of blue light it emits so reading e-books or comic books, for example, will be much more comfortable even done in longer periods of time.

LG X Power2 specs:
  • 5.5-inch HD LCD Display
  • 1280 x 720 resolution
  • 1.5GHz octa-core processor
  • 1.5GB RAM / 2GB RAM
  • 16GB internal storage
  • Supports microSD card up to 2TB
  • 13MP rear camera with Zero Shutter Lag
  • 5MP front camera
  • Android 7.0 Nougat
  • WiFi, Bluettoh, GPS
  • OTG and Gyro Sensor
  • Black Titan, Shiny Titan, Shiny Gold, Shiny Blue
  • 4500mAh battery
Pricing was not revealed yet and will most likely vary depending on the region this phone will be released in the future. But looking at its specs, looks like we can expect this device to be around $200. LG added that we can expect this phone to roll out in Latin America by March then followed by other markets in the US, Asia, Europe and others.
