Lenovo Joins Gaming PC Battle with the Launch of LEGION

In the Philippines, ASUS has the Republic of Gamers or ROG brand and Acer its own Predator line as well as MSI's gaming machines. These are the top three leading brands in the gaming scene, no doubt about that. However, that's about to change as Lenovo, the world's biggest PC maker, is joining the club as it officially launched its very own gaming brand, meet the Legion.

The local launch of Lenovo Legion line was officially kicked off at a 2-day gaming convention event held a couple of days ago at SM North EDSA where hardcore gamers and enthusiasts were given the opportunity to try out gaming devices from Lenovo by playing League of Legends (LoL) and competing with each other.

At this event, a couple of gaming peripherals were also introduced and those are the Lenovo Legion Y520, an entry-level gaming laptop powered by Intel Kaby Lake processor and houses an NVIDIA GTX 1050/1050ti graphics card and the Lenovo Ideapad Y910 with 6th gen Core i7 processor in its heart and an NVIDIA GTX 1080M graphics. A desktop like the Lenovo IdeaCentre Y720 Cube, a VR-ready beast, was also unveiled and displayed.

"Lenovo Legion is dedicated to our community of gamers, and their passion for gaming," said Michael Ngan, Country Manager for Lenovo Philippines. "And by introducing Legion through this gaming convention, we hope to grow such a community - where local gamers can support each other in the world of gaming, and improve camaraderie online."
Michael Ngan further admits that existing gaming brands in the Philippines are ahead of them already and that there's nothing they can do about that. But said that what they can offer is the breadth and affordability of their offerings through these Legion devices and the upcoming ones.

Right now the IdeaCentre Y710 Cube is officially available in the Philippines for Php81,990 while the Legion Y520 and IdeaPad Y910 will be available in February and within the first quarter of 2017 respectively.
