OPPO To Announce Dual Selfie Camera Smartphones on March 23

So a couple of days ago, I spotted some banner ads from OPPO at one of the biggest malls here in Davao City showing the unannounced F3 and F3 Plus smartphones. The ads further revealed that at least one of these phones is equipped with two selfie shooters on the front panel. As of posting none of those are official yet, but that's about to change as OPPO Philippines has just sent out invites for its March 23 event. The invite was accompanied by a teaser photo, see below.

As the invite above says, OPPO Philippines will have a launch event on March 23, 2017 that starts at 7.30PM. The invite also teases "The New Era of Dual Selfie Camera". We don't know what the phones are going to look like and what specs and features to expect. OPPO appears to be very good at keeping leaksters at bay. But atleast the invite has already confirmed that OPPO is about to bring the selfie taking experience to the next level, dual front facing camera! Right now, I am not aware of any other smartphones in the wild that already sport two cameras on the front panel except for the Vivo V5 Plus handset that just hit the Philippine market on January 28.

Again specs and features wise, the internet has very limited information to offer about these devices. But the expectations of smartphone and tech enthusiasts is that the F3 and F3 Plus will be equipped with much higher technical specifications than its predecessors in the F series. Some even say the F3 Plus variant could have as big as 6-inch Quad HD AMOLED display and could be powered by an Octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor, this may sound too high and too powerful and probably too expensive at this point in time of OPPO's history in the Philippines, yet still a possibility.

As for its dual camera configurations, we are expecting at least 20MP and 8MP combination sitting on the front panel and about 16MP in the rear.

Stay tuned for now as we move closer to the March 23 launch date. I will provide you more and new details if and when I get one.

One last thing, if you are planning to buy an OPPO smartphone as you read this post, please hold it off for a second until these new devices are officially unveiled. You may find them more interesting, or who knows maybe the existing OPPO devices will get more discounts right after announcing the F3 and F3 Plus.
