Lucasfilm Releases First Star Wars: The Last Jedi Teaser Trailer

It has finally arrived in our galaxy! The very first teaser trailer for the Star Wars: The Last Jedi has just been released by Lucasfilm a few hours ago.  It's nice to wake up to this kind of news on a Saturday morning. Isn't it?

I think it is already a bit late for a teaser trailer since it's going to come out this December. Why? It is because more than two years ago when the Star Wars: The Force Awakens was to be released in December 2015, the first teaser trailer was released as early as November of 2014. In other words I have been waiting for this first clip to arrive since November of last year. I even expected it to debut as one of those pre-movie trailers played during The Rogue One: A Star Wars Story last year when I watched it. But anyway, it's here and that's what really matters now.

It was released like 10 hours ago while most of us were sleeping, and as of writing, the trailer has already racked up more than 9.5 million views on its official channel on YouTube. Watch it below.

It's a little over two minutes of teaser, it's not enough for fans of course, but still did not provide too much details on the plot which is actually a good one. Except of course for the apparent training of Rey with Luke which is kind of expected already since seeing how The Force Awakens ended, and then a never ending battle between the good ( The Resistance) and the bad (First Order) guys.

In addition to the teaser, a brand new and cool poster poster was also released. Take a look below.

The Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released in December later this year. And from what it seems to be, we are still going to see Finn, Rey, and Kylo Ren in this Episode VIII of the Star Wars series. And now that it also appears more of Luke Skywalker will be seen all through out the film as he trains Rey, do you think The Last Jedi will be able to surpass The Force Awakens' more than $2 billion global box office earnings? Let's discuss it in the comments section below.
