Dual Selfie Camera OPPO F3 is Now Officially Launched

After tons of teasers of specs and features from the company itself through various social media channels, the latest Selfie Expert sporting dual front camera, the OPPO F3, is now officially launched in the Philippines. OPPO Philippines held a special launching event yesterday to formally unveil the smaller sibling to F3 Plus smartphone that was first announced and released in March of this year. It's here, everything is confirmed and it is officially priced at just Php16,990.

Like its bigger brother, the OPPO F3 sports two front facing cameras where the primary one is pegged at 16MP and a secondary 8MP shooter with 120-degree wide angle lens perfect for group photos and for capturing more background details, whether it's in photos or in videos.

"We at OPPO always strive to reinvent the mobile experience, and the release of the F3 reflects our relentless passion for even better smartphone photography," OPPO Philippines Brand Marketing Manager Stephen Cheng said. "Through our continued innovation, we hope to cement our brand's position as the leading camera phone in the industry."
Compared to F3 Plus's massive 6.0-inch display, the F3 will only have 5.5-inch with the same Full HD resolution in the display. While a lot of users and fans liked the big display on F3 Plus, many still did not find it that attractive especially those who have not that big of a hand. So the 5.5-inch version would definitely cater those particular individuals without missing too much from the bigger variant, most especially its dual selfie cameras.

OPPO F3 and F3 Plus

Other similarities F3 has with the F3 Plus are the 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. Two of the things I really liked on the Plus version as it is very spacious and really allow me to run multiple apps in the background without experiencing lags. If one would need more than 64GB of space, it is nice to know that it still supports microSD card up to 128GB and take note, it has its own slot. That means, in addition to the dual-SIM slot, users will also have a separate and dedicated slot for microSD chip. The OPPO F3 smartphone runs on Android Marshmallow with OPPO's own ColorOS 3.1 user interface on top.

When it comes to the design, I am kind of surprised to know that its looks it more similar to the F1s series than to its bigger F3 Plus sibling. It still sports metal casing though, but not as unibody and as beautiful and sleek as the OPPO F3 Plus. Plus we are also missing the six-string antenna bands on the back on the F3 for a much better signal reception. I don't know why but I am starting to think that OPPO seemed to have recycled the OPPO F1s casings with the F3. F1s devices have three-slot or non-hybrid SIM trays, like this one too.

The OPPO F3 in Gold is now available for pre-order until May 12, 2017. And when you pre-order for this smartphone you will also get free Bluetooth headphones and a Selfie Stick. The F3 will be officially released on May 13. From what it seems, looks like this will not be available in Matte Black unlike the F3 Plus. I even asked OPPO reps here in Davao and all of them confirmed that Black Edition is most likely not going to happen.
