Gionee S10 Will Have Dual Camera Setup on Front and Back Panels

2017 is definitely the year of dual camera-equipped smartphones. Small and big electronics brands have been unleashing their dual camera smartphones and users are just having a hard time which one to pick for their photography needs. And while that is the trend right now in the mobile photography scene, a Chinese smartphone maker called Gionee aims to take this game a little higher with the upcoming release of their S10 offering that is reportedly sporting dual camera set up on the front and back panels.

Sounds crazy right? But that's is definitely happening! Leaks and teasers have been around the internet for a few days now and all of them are leading to this conclusion of four-camera configurations for the S10 series of devices from Gionee. An S10 Plus is even expected to be unveiled soon.

Let's take a look at the recent photos below published by MobileExpose. Previous reports claim that these are the photos of the Gionee S10 devices, now there are others claiming this is the S10 Plus version of the series. Whatever the real deal is, we will know when Gionee finally reveals these phones before the month ends.

This front panel of the S10 is said to be having a 5.5-inch screen with Full HD resolution across the board. As you can see there is really nothing special in the front facing of the device as it has the common features you would see in a smartphone today such as the extremely thin bezels on the sides, plain white borders, a physical home button that is most likely to house the fingerprint scanner functionality, some speaker and sensor at the top part. And of course, the photo above confirms the rumor, dual-selfie camera set up which if leaks are to be believe will boast 20MP+8MP combination right out of the box.

On the other side of the Gionee S10 in this another leaked photo is where we can find the other dual camera configuration. According to rumors, those two lenses will have 16MP+8MP combinations. Aside from the two snappers, an LED flash, a Gionee branding and a couple of antenna bands, nothing is really much going on on the back panel.

In addition to the cameras, these photos also confirm a few things about the upcoming Gionee S10 and S10 Plus series, which is again if these are found to be true. On the right side are the volume rocker and power/lock keys, while at the bottom are the six-hole speaker grilles, a USB Type-C (I think) port, and thankfully the 3.5mm audio jack.

Of course none of these are official yet so we better take everything with a pinch of salt for now. But Gionee is expected to formally announce these phones at the end of May 2017.
