HTC U11 Launched, The Squeezable Smartphone

A new Android flagship smartphone has just been officially launched and it is something that you can squeeze, well at least as what HTC is claiming. The HTC just formally announced the U11 which highlights a unique feature called Edge Sense. This feature allows users to operate and interact with the phone through short and long squeezes on its pressure sensitive sides. In addition to that, this device is also packed with super flagship-level specs such as the latest and Qualcomm top-of-the-line Snapdragon 835 processor with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Watch the video below to give a full demo on how this thing works.

In addition to that never before seen functionality on a smartphone, this device is also packed with super flagship-level specs such as the latest Qualcomm's top-of-the-line Snapdragon 835 processor with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, Quad HD display, just minus the dual-camera setup. Plus its design looks also unique that when you hold it out public, it's going to be a head turner. The only problem that I can see here is it looks one fingerprint and smudge hungry of a device especially the glass back plate.

Another notable feature this HTC U11 has is the IP67 certification. This means that this phone can be submerged into water up to 1 meter deep for up to 30 minutes. This is a dust resistant smartphone too. If you are concerned about AI availability on this device, HTC confirmed that it will arrive pre-installed with Google Assistant, and that users will also have the option to download Amazon's Alexa AI through Google Play. HTC further confirmed that they are also working with other big AI Assistant providers for this smartphone.

Like the HTC U Ultra and Bolt, the U11 iteration is also getting rid of the 3.5mm audio jack. Instead, the package will include a pair of HTC USonic USB-C earphones which is connected via the phone's USB Type-C port. The packaged set of earphones is now with enhanced noise cancellation technology for a much more immersive listening experience.
