Leaked Video Shows Current and Upcoming Nokia Android Smartphones

The infamous gadget leakster and twitter personality, Evan Blass spotted an unofficial short video on Vimeo a couple of days ago, now already taken down, that showed current and yet-to-be-announced Nokia smartphones from HMD Global.

Right now, HMD Global has released three handsets in select markets and those are Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6. And according to the previous rumors about the upcoming Nokia smartphones, we are still to see at least two more high-end ones, and this newly leaked video clip seems to back it up. One of the unofficial devices in the video sports dual rear camera setup and that is speculated to be the Nokia 9 while the next big one is reported to be the Nokia 8.

A post on Venturebeat claimed that the user who uploaded the video on Vimeo used to work for Nokia (before) and HMD Global (now) as a brand photographer. So that added more juice to this leaked. What's more, Evan Blass thought that the video could be taken down anytime soon after tweeting them on his Twitter account, and he was right, good thing he was able to mirror the video on his account before that happened. Watch it below.

There a good number of posts we can online right now reporting the rumored specs and features of these two Nokia devices. The Nokia 9 is obviously going to be a monster of a flagship one where it is said to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 processor and will be paired with either 4GB or 6GB RAM with Android Nougat right out of the box. The display is reportedly pegged at 5.5" with Quad HD (2560 x 1440 resolution) OLED display.

Again referring to the rumors, the Nokia 9 is going to have two 22MP rear cameras equipped with Carl Zeiss optics and some other top notch camera functionalities. The front cam is to have 12MP.

The Nokia 8 on the other hand is going to be just below the Nokia 9 in terms of specs but with slightly bigger display. 5.7-inch with the same Quad HD display resolution to be exact. Then a rear shooter with 24MP and same 12MP front camera.

On paper, every thing looks to be pretty and sweet, though nothing is official yet coming from HMD Global. That being said, we need to take all of it with grain of salt.
