Alcatel Idol 5S Announced and Offered with Heavy Discount for Amazon Prime Members

Alcatel is one of those smartphone makers that we don't usually hear so much about from time to time especially when it comes to launching brand new devices. But when this company does, what they bring to the table are usually with much better specs among its competitors yet bearing price stickers that are hard to resist. Today, Alcatel is returning to the scene with the same approach and brand new smartphone offerings, one of those is the Idol 5S device. 

The Alcatel Idol 5S is currently set to be released in the US via the biggest online retail store Amazon. This is not a carrier-locked phone though, meaning it will also work with major telecommunications providers in the USA such as Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and many others.
This device sports an all metal design with the front face sporting 5.2-inch display with full HD resolution. On the edges of the screen are 2.5D curved glasses for an added premium looking touch and feel. In its heart are the 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor and 3GBR AM with default 32GB internal storage. Users can also have microSD card up to 512GB in size.

The Alcatel Idol 5S is running on the latest Android 7.1 Nougat OS right out of the box. For added security there is its own fingerprint scanner. It will only come in Crystal Black color option. See more specs below.

Alcatel is launching the Idol 5S through Amazon for $279, pre-order will begin on July 10. Now if you are an Amazon Prime members and don't care about the online retail giant showing advertisements on the phone's lockscreen, you can get one for only $200.
