Android 7.1.1 Nougat Update for ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom Out Now

As promised by ASUS when the ZenFone 3 Zoom was launched in the Philippines, the much awaited Android Nougat software update has just been officially released. The announcement was made yesterday via ASUS's forum site called ZenTalk.

When the ZenFone 3 Zoom was released in the country in April, it was running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box which was a bit disappointing for many fans who have waited for the unit but like I said above, ASUS Philippines promised the update would be coming our way later. And that day has finally come, at least today you should be able to update your Z3Z to the super latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat version.

Aside from the Android Nougat update itself, there are a number of new features and enhancements to be excited about the latest release such as the new Portrait Mode support in the camera, RAW image preview availability, BeautyLive feature that was initially and exclusively available on Zenfone Live (unboxing and hands on), some bug fixes, among many others. See full update details via the source link below.

Take note that the software update is a little over 1GB in size so make sure you are connected to a pretty strong WiFi connection before you do the update.

If you haven't received the update notification yet on your phone, don't worry as it is not rolled out to everybody all at the same time. The ZenTalk post says it could take about a week for full roll out. However, you can still manually check the update via the the Software Update app or by going to the Settings >> About >> System Update.
