ASUS Republic of Gamers Announces ROG Masters 2017 with $500,000 Prize Pool

The ASUS Republic of Gamers has officially announced the ROG Masters 2017 eSports tournament. After the much success and positive reception of last year's first ever ROG Masters, this ASUS-organized eSport tournament has now gone global and that means it will feature more than 20 top professional teams from around the world and offer a whopping $500,000 in the prize pool. How much is that in the Philippine Peso? Well mga Php24.7 million lang naman.

It is undisputed that the dual DOTA 2 and Counter Strike Global Offensive (CS:GO) tournament has grown tremendously in scale and ambition, and with this almost unprecedented reach, ROG Masters 2017 is set to raise the intensity of the competition and take the DOTA 2 and CS:GO scene by storm.

Starting this month of June, participating teams from every corner of the world will compete in a series of 30 country qualifiers and four regional qualifiers (EMEA, Americas, APAC, and China). Then the winners of these qualifiers will face the invited professional teams from each of the four regions, battle it out for a place in the Grand Finals this November.

The Philippine Qualifiers will take place from June to August with a total prize pool of Php200,000.
