OPPO R11 Coming to Taiwan on July 1

The world's first smartphone that is powered by Snapdragon 660 processing, the new OPPO R11, will be making its way to the Taiwanese market starting July 1. Currently, this phone is only available in China and Singapore, and Taiwan will be its newest destination since launch a couple of weeks ago.

While this release has already been confirmed by OPPO through press release, there was no mention of its pricing. But according to reports, the R11 will be retailed for NTD 15,990 (Php26,500) which is interestingly slightly higher than Chinese SRP of Yuan 2,999 (Php22,000). However, there is no word yet if the bigger R11 Plus will also be released outside of China.
OPPO R11 specs:
  • 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED Display
  • 1920 x 1080 resolution
  • Snapdragon 660 processor
  • 4GB RAM
  • 64GB internal storage
  • Supports microSD card
  • 20MP + 16MP dual rear cameras with 2x Optical Zoom
  • 20MP front camera
  • Android 7.1 Nougat with ColosOS
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS
  • Dual-SIM
  • 4G LTE
  • Fingerprint Scanner
  • Gold, Rose Gold, Black
  • VOOC Super Flash Charge
  • 2900mAh battery
  • NTD 15,990
As for its Philippine release, we have not heard anything yet but if we are to follow the company's previous R series' history it is very likely that it won't be released here. Instead, we will be getting a different configuration close if not similar to the R11 and R11 Plus, but that could change though since Singapore and Taiwan are now to have this particular smartphone series from OPPO.
