The Affordable Meizu M5C is Coming to Philippines this July per Reports

If local reports are to be believed, it appears that the Meizu M5C budget-friendly smartphone is coming to the Philippines sometime this July. This smartphone was initially announced a couple of months ago in China and is the latest member of Meizu's M5 series of devices which includes the M5S, M5 Note and the M5 itself of which you can see my unboxing and hands-on post here.

Among the lineup, the M5c is the entry-level which means specs and features slightly watered down and so is the price. However, based on the speculated SRP of Php5,990, it's still one of the best smartphones out there that can provide value out of our hard-earned money or one of the best "bang for buck" devices as others say.

For that less than Php6K-mark users will already get a 5-inch display with HD resolution, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, LTE support, Flyme 6.0 OS based on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat, and to top it all off ,a Fingerprint Scanner right out of the box. See other specs below.

Meizu M5C specs:
  • 5-inch HD IPS Display
  • 1280 x 720 resolution
  • 1.3GHz quad-core processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • 16GB internal storage
  • Supports microSD card up to 128GB
  • 8MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash
  • 5MP front camera with f/2.2 aperture
  • Flyme 6.0 OS based on Android 7.0 Nougat
  • WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS
  • 4G LTE
  • Dual SIM
  • Fingerprint Scanner
  • 8.3mm thin
  • 135 grams
  • Black, Gold, Red, Blue, Pink
  • 3000mAh battery
  • Php5,990
Please take note that the pricing of Php5,990 is not official yet, but since this device being the entry-level of the series just right below the M5 which is priced at Php6,990, the Php5,990 seems to be the best shot we have right now. Once everything is official for Philippine release, we will definitely let you know.
