Vivo X9s and X9s Plus Sport Dual Selfie Camera and Android 7.1 Nougat

Two new selfie focused smartphones have been just been announced by Vivo in its home country of China through a local launch event, meet the X9s and the X9s Plus! If you are familiar with Vivo's previous smartphone offerings, yes these two are direct follow up to last year's X9 and X9 Plus iterations with of course few upgrades.

What's so special about these new Vivo X9s and X9s Plus is their front facing cameras which are still targeted at the selfie loving consumers. Upfront there are 20MP primary front shooter and a 5MP secondary camera. While on the rear is a 16MP module with phase detecyion autofocus and LED flash.

Both the X9s and X9s Plus share almost the same set of specs and feature with a few differences such as the screen size, battery size, and type of processor in them.

Display wise, the two phones have Full HD AMOLED display for the 5.5-inch and 5.85-inch variants. The X9s is powered by Snapdragon 652 while the X9s Plus has Snapdragon 653, both with octa-core chips. And then for the battery, the smaller sibling gets 3320mAh and the bigger gets 4015mAh. As of posting, these smartphones are now up for pre-orders in China with official availability to be on July 20, 2017. We don't know yet if any of these handsets will ever be released in the Philippines.
